Bayer Business Services makes important contributions to climate protection and sustainable development at Bayer, providing active support for the Bayer Climate Program. The focus is on three initiatives:

Through the introduction of high-definition video conferencing systems, the Business Travel initiative is providing CO
2-saving alternatives to business travel. Between 2007 and 2012, the “EcoFleet” initiative will have reduced the Bayer vehicle fleet's CO
2 emissions by 20 percent. Bayer Business Services is also committed to environmental responsibility and resource conservation when it comes to its data processing systems. With its global “Green IT” initiative, it is targeting a 20 percent improvement in the energy efficiency of its three main data centers worldwide between 2009 and 2012. Even minor modifications are achieving significant reductions in emissions.
